Arriving in Provence

Provence France arrivals map

Marseille Provence Airport or TGV train stations (Avignon or Aix-en-Provence)

  • Book your flight directly to the Marseille Provence Airport if you are not visiting Paris before your Provence tour.
    • Should you arrive in Paris before Provence, you have the option of taking the train from the center of Paris (Gare de Lyon) or from the Paris airport (Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport). There are direct trains to Avignon TGV (or you can go a bit further to arrive at the Aix-en-Provence TGV station).

SNCF for train travel in France

  • Download the app SNCF Connect for purchasing your train tickets and easy access to your ticket (QR code).
  • Some trains are OUIGO trains. No worries, this is still the same SNCF French rail company (just another brand name for lower cost travel).
  • When purchasing your tickets, select seats that are on the lower deck to make loading and unloading with suitcases easier.
