Saturday 22, Day 1

Pick-up at Avignon TGV train station at 10am. Arrive in Chateauneuf-du-Pape at 10:30 for our first winery visit.  Free time to roam at your leisure in the village and stop at one of the quaint cafés or restaurants for lunch.  You will also enjoy climbing to the top where the remains of the Pope’s Chateau give a marvelous view of the Rhone River valley.

After lunch, we will drive to our charming B&B in Vaison-la-Romain near the town center.  After checking into your room we will meet in the common room for a special Goûter (a pairing of sweet gourmandises with red wines and sweet wines by the owner of the B&B who is a wine expert himself).  Just so you know now – you need not get dessert when ordering lunch in Chateauneuf-du-Pape!

Dinner together in the village of Vaison.

A special treat for our first full day of the Provence Wine Tour! A domain in Vacqueyras, Le Clos de Caveau, will open its doors for us to help with the wine picking and then proceed with a  tasting and specially prepared meal by the winegrower at his home.

Return to Vaison for free time in the village. Dinner at a wine bar with local charcuterie and cheeses.

Monday 24, Day 3

Seguret village tour with historical anecdotes from your guide & wine tour at Mourchon (wine walk and picnic in the vineyard).

In the afternoon we’ll step inside a Bio-Dynamic Wine grower domain, Montirius (the 1st certified bio-dynamic for Gigondas & Vacqueyras).  Here we will have the incredible opportunity to learn about wine with a hands-on workshop by the winegrowers themselves.

Tuesday 25, Day 4  Provence Wine Tour

Start your day at the morning market in Vaison-la-Romaine.  After your market wandering we’ll drive 1 hour south to Saint Remy de Provence for lunch and a tour through Saint Paul de Mausole where Van Gogh spent his last year in Provence.  From here, a very short drive to Mas de la Dame for wine tasting in the wine AOC Les Baux de Provence.

Transfer to the Luberon to our B&B for the next three nights.  Free time to enjoy the pool and then dinner at Emily’s favorite Luberon village restaurant.

Today we explore the South Luberon region. We’ll begin our day with a Grape Stomp and then picnic style lunch at the stomping grounds. In the afternoon you will have free time in the beautiful village Lourmarin to boutique shop, visit the Renaissance castle or just wander the Provencal cobblestone lanes.

Dinner together at one of Emily’s favorite village restaurants near the B&B.

Thursday 27, Day 6

Electric bikes or have the same tour in the car – It’s your choice today. All the wineries can be toured either with me as your personal chauffeur or opt for the electric bike tour. Chateau La Canorgue, Domaine de la Citadelle and Domaine de Marie. In between wine domaine tours and tastings we’ll visit a few of the Luberon gems like Menerbes and Oppede-le-Vieux.  Farewell dinner near the B&B.

Hello, dear Emily! This tour looks fabulous! I would love to do this one, but we may need to wait, as we’ve had some extra family expenses so far this year. So look forward to seeing you. How are you doing with ‘everything ‘ at the orchard. Has the pace eased up at all?
Again, you’re doing a lovely job with the tours. Hope to do one soon. House is on the market and we’re ramping up to sell! Love much😘😘😘
