Small Group Grape Harvest Tour

6 nights / 7 days of Provence’s best wines

Grape harvest time, known as les vendanges in French, is a marvelous time to visit Provence. Most of the tourists have gone home by now and Provence is ready to spoil the lucky few who have come to pick some grapes.

Wine has been produced in Provence ever since the Greeks founded the city of Marseille in 600 BC. Through the centuries many different AOC have been developed to label wines from strict geographical locations with tight regulations. The land in Provence is diverse giving distinct personality to the wine produced in each region.  Today, the word terroir is used to refer to the geographic characteristics in a given place that make the wine unique.
